Visit Cal Poly
More than 30,000 campus visitors each year participate in our campus tours led by volunteer student guides or Admissions Staff and our informative admissions presentations given by Cal Poly Admissions Counselors.
NOTE: On-campus parking is often at a premium and can be difficult to find between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00pm, Monday—Friday. Visitors to the campus should allow extra time to secure parking during that time period. Visitors should also be aware that parking designated as anything other than “general” is restricted— all campus visitors are encouraged to enter the Cal Poly campus via the Grand Avenue entrance to obtain the latest parking information from the Visitor Information Center.
Visitors will need to obtain a daily parking permit to park on campus. The permits can be obtained at parking vending machines available at most parking lots, as well as the Grand Avenue Visitor Information Center. The Visitor Information Center has daily General Use parking permits for $5.00 which are required Monday-Thursday, 7:00am - 10:00pm, and on Fridays from 7:00am - 5:00pm. General Use daily parking permits can also be purchased for $5.00 from several vending machines located in the campus parking lots and exact change will be needed.

Also available at the Information Center are directions to various parts of campus, including the University Union (U.U.) where campus tours begin. The Admissions Office is located in the Administration Building, Bldg. 1, Room 206.
