Welcome to the Parents/Supporters webpage with information to help you help your prospective student through the Cal Poly application and admission process.
If you have not already done so, sign up for your free Parents/Supporters VIP page. Your student should also sign up for their own VIP page. The VIP page is a custom-designed webpage that holds links to admission information, academic departments, messages from department chairs and student services and activities (housing, financial aid and athletics). Note: Each VIP page must have its own email address
- Undergrad prospective student information will answer many of your general questions about majors offered, cost of attendance, campus statistics, selection criteria, test information, residency and campus visits.
Be sure to visit our newest addition, Cal Poly's first digital viewbook! Loaded with a virtual tour of the campus and the surrounding area, video interviews and flash animated presentations. This viewbook will allow you to see Cal Poly before you set foot on campus. - Applications and deadlines information will answer specific questions and direct the student to the online application via CSUMentor. It is strongly advised that before beginning the application the student read the instructions thoroughly. Once the application is submitted, only demographic changes can be made.
Cal Poly's motto is "learn by doing," so please encourage your student to take an active role in the entire application process.
