New term code

Have you wondered what the new quarter code really means?
How will I know what the next term will be called?

If the year is 2007, and I am trying to determine the code for the Fall term, where do I begin?

~ the first digit is for the "century" portion of the year we are currently in (e.g. 2007) ~ 2+0 = 2

~ the next two digits are for the year = 07

~ and the last digit signifies which term =

2
Winter
4 Spring
6 Summer
8 Fall

Fall term in 2007 would then be called "2078"

(Examples: Spring Term in 2112 = 3124; Winter Term in 3107 = 4072)

Fall 2007 = 2078

Winter 2008 = 2082

Spring 2008 = 2084

Summer 2008 = 2086

Fall 2008 = 2088
